Farewell to Summer...Almost

 The best part about being together is just being together!  Doing your own thing...together! No one wants to miss out on anything :)  Our studio is the perfect gathering place.

 

And the food we enjoy!

Angie's is a Cache Valley icon.  We enjoyed breakfast together...the scones, the large servings of hot cocoa...you name it and it was probably on our table! Molly thought the Chocolate Chip Pancakes with loads of whipped cream were awesome!

Cell phone cameras...need I say more?  Sometimes you luck out, sometimes you just don't!

Playing old maid...If you were lucky you got new sparkly pink pajama bottoms! And a favorite, charades...which we don't usually photograph but probably should!

Party in the hot tub!!

A walk in the neighborhood, eating pop-po-pellows (Pace Popscicles are made in Utah and rock the flavor! Tiger's Blood was a favorite) smothering Owen with love, teaching a cat to play soccer at the park, a photo shoot with Kaycee, playing the wii and great food! 

Kaycee is a senior this year and wanted some photos before her uniform gets turned in.  

She is such a cute package of an adorable young women.

A day to celebrate ~ 28 years and loving it!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at one of our favorite restaurants, Le Nonne.

We dined out on the upper patio, you see the lower patio had been reserved for a special event.

I was lucky to get a play by play as Mark watched an adorable couple get engaged. How cute was that. He had a little boy come out with a vase of flowers and a card. She opened it and blushed. He came around to sit by her and presented her with "the box". She opens it and it's history. He gently slides the ring onto her finger... Mark gave me a sensational play by play. He had arranged to have family members, namely her adorable little nieces and nephews come in about 5 minutes with flowers to add to the vase and to offer their congratulations and joy for their happy occasion. You can see in my photo below the event occurring behind me. It was a sweet night. Love was in the air.

We certainly look forward to more wonderful memories this coming year xo.

We are blessed to have each other and a sweet, sweet family.

happy 11.11

Not that everyone celebrates eleven-eleven . . . but it is a wonderful day to celebrate . . . especially when it is in remembrance of many happy moments in the past at 11:11pm :] Why was it that morning or night we would always glance at a watch or a clock and that is what the time would read. Must be love. True love. Today we celebrated by lunching together at Elements ~ one of our favorite restaurants in our lovely city. Most often we are far too full for dessert, but let me just say that the dessert chef is spectacular!

Celebrate the little things in life.

Life is going by too quickly not to. Today at lunch, we began dreaming of where we might celebrate this very date two years from now . . . 11.11.11

I say let's dream big!

27 Years, Baby!! (yesterday)

Another one under our belt!  Yippee for us!!   It seems impossible that 27 years have gone by.  They plastered our little honda civic and we didn't have change to go to a car wash!  Kind of how our first many years were...but we wouldn't go back and change any of it!  What a ride.  Many more mountains to climb than we had planned on, but the vistas have been spectacular and the family that has come within our union is the greatest blessing in our lives.  We are very blessed.  We are hoping for many more miles of road ahead of us - certain there will be some bumps, but also very sure there will be scenes we could never dreamed would be so beautiful and fulfilling.  Here is to the year ahead of us - CHEERS! 

Let's keep the seat belt on, eh??

50 Wonderful Years!

What a wonderful beginning for 50 memory packed years!

  And today - sharing a love that has grown over the years.  

We are so grateful for their extraodinary lives and 

example of love and devotion.  

Congratulations on 50 Wonderful Years

 and many more to come!  

On December 20, 2008 we celebrated their 50th Anniverary with a luncheon and program at Hamilton's with their family and close friends.  We missed Shaura, Dean and Melece in Russia and Larissa and Hayden in England.  It was a sweet time to share together.

we made little glittered blue birds in 

remembrance of their wedding day.

Their daughter Kimberly composed a song for 

them that she had her brother, 

Jason read the words to as she played.  

It was beautiful.  She also presented them 

a book with letters and 

memories from family & friends.  

Grandpa plays the accordian and when we would visit when the children were younger, they would sometimes convince him to pull it out and play for them.  Janell surprised them a serenade of "Always", one of grandma's favorite songs.  

She was given this accordian by a friend and learned this song by 

herself while she was home for this event.  

They were certainly touched.

Jocie's Memorial

Last Saturday we enjoyed a beauties of Fall at Beaver Mountain celebrating the life of our sweet friend, Jocie.  They dedicated a wonderful memorial in her memory and we had a celebration "Jiggy" style with great food, friends and the amazing fall scenery.  You can go to Beaver Mountain's web site and see some neat photos of the day.  I have attempted the "slideshow" for the very first time with a bunch of photos from our day up there.

Our Double Date to Jackson!

Mom & Dad in front of the little cabin they stayed in on their honeymoon to Star Valley over 48 years ago. They are still very much in love!!

The leaves were turning.  It is such a beautiful time to go to Jackson.

Dad is enjoying some peaceful fishing on the Salt.  Even if mostly 

white fish were taking the bate - what a gorgeous time we had!

Not much can beat a day like this on the river.

There were a few fish to be had mid-day.

The following are photos from our twilight float from 

Jackson Dam to Pacific Creek.  

We put in the canoes around 5:30pm and enjoyed 3 hours 

of the river to ourselves.  

We saw so much wildlife.  This is float that is magical this time of year because the Elk are calling and the scenery is unbeatable. The sunsets are the most romantic scenes.  Everyone needs to do this at least once in their lifetime!  It should definitely be on your bucket list! 

I think we all had perma-grins the entire night - except when 

Leisa didn't know if Dad meant left or right!! :)

babe - thankfully they were immersed in their supper 

so as to not mind our gawking.
