Three Adorable Children!

What a treat to have them all together in one place...

Three Peas in a Pod

What a trick it is to get a picture of them all looking at the camera
and sitting still ~ smiles are usually there, but they are optional.

And the Winning Team Was...

It was a great night under the lights! Blogger is being fussy so this
is about all I can get to upload - but what a great time! It was so
wonderful to see our cute girl out on the field. She made some great tackles
in this *flag* game :) Brought back some pretty fond soccer memories.
We were so grateful she could play and the knee was protected :)

love [luhv] noun, verb loved, lov-ing.

A day to celebrate ~ 28 years and loving it!
We enjoyed a wonderful meal at one of our favorite restaurants, Le Nonne.
We dined out on the upper patio, you see the lower patio had been reserved for a special event.
I was lucky to get a play by play as Mark watched an adorable couple get engaged. How cute was that. He had a little boy come out with a vase of flowers and a card. She opened it and blushed. He came around to sit by her and presented her with "the box". She opens it and it's history. He gently slides the ring onto her finger... Mark gave me a sensational play by play. He had arranged to have family members, namely her adorable little nieces and nephews come in about 5 minutes with flowers to add to the vase and to offer their congratulations and joy for their happy occasion. You can see in my photo below the event occurring behind me. It was a sweet night. Love was in the air.
We certainly look forward to more wonderful memories this coming year xo.
We are blessed to have each other and a sweet, sweet family.

Seasons

We feel so blessed to live some place where we get to experience the changes of the seasons. It's energizing. Yesterday we had a nice bath of fresh rain poured over us. So wonderful for our thirsty yard. The mountains were dusted with snow and our deck shivered with the white stuff. I spent the day organizing wool, cleaning the house, visiting an antique shop and cooking up a hearty batch of soup!

Here is the "basic" recipe I put together...

Garden Vegetable Tortellini Soup

1 package of cheese tortellini
64 oz. chicken broth
1 large can pureed tomatoes
2 -3 cups diced assorted fresh veggies such as: tomatoes, zucchini, onions,
carrots,
new potatoes, kale, garlic etc. Whatever you have on hand.
1 -2 cans white beans, drained

Boil the tortellini as package directs. Drain. Meanwhile saute veggies about 5-8 minutes. (I chopped a large leaf of Kale to throw in the pot later) In a large pot combine all ingredients and simmer for 15-20 minutes to allow flavors to marry.
I seasoned with S&P, Italian Seasoning
and some cayenne pepper.
Such a yummy meal served with some nice crusty bread!

One last thing per request from our friend Hilary and ANYONE
else who loves Cafe Rio's Pulled Pork Salad ~
