Our downstairs bathroom has been begging for a facelift for YEARS! All the old Alaska fishing decor really needed to go bye bye. Less than a week before we would have house guests, I got the mojo to finally get it done! The wallpaper border had to come down....
This product worked wonders! I just scored the paper, sprayed on and it magically pealed off. It worked so well that I wasn't really finished having fun pealing it off :)
The finished room is just as sweet as can be. Emily suggested a soft blue. We found the beautiful color of Palladian Blue by Benjamin Moore and had my favorite paint store mix it for me in choice of paint - Porters. It tuned out beautiful. I chose a linen white for the cabinets. I applied a gripper coat first without sanding them. I plan on adding a couple of coats of clear varnish as well.
The end result is very peaceful and soothing with a great vintage vibe.
Funny what color does on the computer screen. The towels are almost a perfect match with the paint in real life. We will line the cubbies we left the doors off with a fun paper soon and cover up the adjustable shelf holes. We couldn't be happier with the results.
Photos from our family weekend coming soon. I have kits to put together and a date to Summerfest with a girlfriend this afternoon :)

No more fish bathroom?! An end of an era! It looks great though, well done.
you did it again :)
...and for those of you who haven't seen the real thing-it is even better in person!
Liam says "What! Now there is no boy bathroom!" Now they're turning to be all 'girl bathrooms!'"
I hadn't thought of that point.
I love the update. It looks great. Especially the cabinets. (I think we will all miss the dancing bears though!)
