Prague: A Jewel of the Czech Republic

How do you do a post on Prague with only a few photos?  We arrived at 7:36am fairly rested from our overnight train ride.  After a few minutes of friendly communication attempts, we found a nice guy who called the hotel for us to get walking directions.  Mom was a trooper as we pulled our luggage for a good 20 minutes.  The hotel was beautiful and once we dropped off luggage we were off to see the Old Square.

We stopped for breakfast at this sweet pastry shop, called Paul. Looking back at the trip now
I think it was our favorite.  So many beautiful choices.

As we entered the square, this yellow building jumped out at me.  It was my favorite.  Hopefully in the process of getting photos on here I will come across a shot of the entire building.

Mark filmed this little guy playing his very unique instrument.  It was very fun to hear him play.
The Astronomical Clock is famous in Vienna.  On the hour it will chime and figurines come out of the top windows much like a giant cuckcoo clock.  The crowd begin to gather about 15 minutes before the hour.
We have it on film as well.  It is such a work of art!

About 2 pm Shaura and Dean arrived.  We were so happy to see them.  They told us about some of their favorite sights in the area and Dean began teaching us so many things about this beautiful city.

The littlestand in the background right in the center sold these wonderful bread donut type treats that were warm and rolled in sugar.  So fun to try!
The detail everywhere on everything is incredible.

For dinner we chose a a little restaurant just outside the square.  Everyone tried something a little different.  It's so fun to see the differnt dishes and taste so many new things.  Apparently fried cheese is very popular here.   It is served with tartar sauce.  Mmmmm.

After dinner we walked back over to the square to see it lit up with lights. Such a romantic place.

I'll have more to say and share about Prague when I am home and can sort through the photos.
I have been trying to keep notes from Dean's lessons :)
