A Taste of Our Thanksgiving

Molly had the flu bug and and did lots of resting, listening to stories, playing go fish, holding her bucket...just in case... and with a little assistance and lots of hand sanitizer made some lovely nut cups. She was as sweet as could be.
Owen, with his contagious dimpled smile - sang and danced, pushed things around, climbed on everything he could, enjoyed all the food and was smothered with hugs and kisses!

The rest of us prepared food...folded cool turkey napkins, smoked a turkey, roasted a turkey, set a pretty table, enjoyed the smells...
 ...and prepared some more food!

And then we all enjoyed every morsel!

For dessert...Pumpkin, Coconut Oatmeal Pecan Pies,
Lindsey and Jake's 7 Layer Cake
(Cheesecake, brownie, chocolate chip cookie,
s'more with some repeats!)
And Emily made her first from scratch Lemon Meringue Pie!

We took a LOT of photos...as usual.

A little building went on in the shop!  Dad helped J build a nifty
adjustable footrest so she can be super comfortable at work.  Fun!!

Had the gift of time to sing, chat, laugh and enjoy each others company.
Nights to play games...and laugh til our sides ached!
Don't ask about the head stand!
We have so much to be thankful for!  We missed our family living far away
and look forward to our time together with the each
of them as we soak up this blessed holiday season!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope yours was as delicious as ours was!!

A Sweet Birthday and a Milestone

 Someone turned 20!
And someone else just got her license!
Because of her travels to Brazil, the whole license thing
was a bit delayed, but it  finally happened and everyone is thrilled!
Our last one to white-knuckle drive with!
No more running here and there!
And the best part is how happy she is
to have that freedom every 16 year old dreams of!

We took the advise of some great foodie friends of ours and
headed up Big Cottonwood Canyon to celebrate 20
awesome years of a pretty cool girl!
Silver Fork Lodge
We highly recommend it!

A few gifts...
Yummy food and lots of laughter...
Soaking in the season, the moment and the girl.
