Can You Freeze TIme For A Moment?

It's such a beautiful evening we were all craving some outside time in the mountains.  Brady has been here with a business conference at USU.  We've loved every minute with him!! We never run out of great conversation :)  And that laugh of his - we can't get enough of it.

First a few short videos of Uncle B time:

He introduced Molly to the art of arm wrestling

And a good old fashioned game of Rock Paper Scissors!

Molly missed her nap and we all got a kick our of her pouting!  Kick the can was awesome until Brady had a crash landing.  I am experimenting a little with the video function of my camera.  You tube is much more user friendly these days and so is blogger with the upload!

Uncle Jake had a great hiding place!

The can is about to get kicked!

Good bye kisses and a silly face for Liam and Elsie

Spoonful of Grief Work

Mark has found a lot of comfort working down in his wood shop the past few months.

He has been carving a few spoons :)

He has a gift with wood.

He found a sweetness there as he would pick someone he cared about and spent time thinking about them as he carved their spoon.  I have similar comfort when I make a quilt with someone special in mind.
I learn much from the wonderful man I am blessed to call my husband.
It is something else to create a unique, one of a kind item.
And he is especially happy he has found a way to share his art in a way that
is useful in his attempt to heal as well as in a meaningful gift for others.

Sweethearts

We were lucky enough to have Owen and Molly over the weekend and for Valentine's day!
Mom and Dad are busy moving into a new home!  YIPPEEE!
A simple dinner of pizza and watermelon juice was perfect.

Lylah and her mom and dad came over for a visit.
They brought a giant Valentine and lots of love!

Molly was happy to give Delylah a piano lesson free of charge!

I was invited to attend a small gathering of Mom's who have lost children with Melissa DB hosted by Michelle L in her beautiful home (which I had only visited via blog before then).  I  felt fed and blessed after our round table of sorts.  It was good to aid in the healing process.  You can read more about Melissa here as Michelle shares a little about Melissa on her blog. Lisa and I enjoyed a great lunch together afterwards and all the chat time we got together on the ride back and forth.  I am certainly surrounded with wonderful people!

Missing Him

Emily had the perfect photo and words for our family today.
She posted this on her instagram feed:

"Surviving three months with my world tilted seems like a pretty big accomplishment."

We are amazed that time keeps marching on and we tag along with it.  We find more good days in our weeks than hard ones.  We are forever changed and are learning how to live in this new place.
Our world has been rather tilted and finding our bearings again is a process.

It's time to start thinking about a headstone.  We know we want something unique for Davis.

We are starting to think of options.
We find peace in this sweet place on the hill in Mendon.

But the road ahead is long and filled with uncertainty.
We are blessed with so many around us that give us hope, love and courage.
