We Can't Keep Him Down

Posted by Picasa

So crutches are old school folks - the new way to be mobile when you are listed on the injured reserve list would be on this nifty little knee walker, or as Mark calls it, Jamaica the Scooter (because it is f a s t like their bobsled team was) OK. Whatever. He just doesn't want to sit still. The scooter has a hand brake that he has already deemed no good. :) He worked a 1/2 day today and did pretty well. He is quite surprised that he isn't in more pain. That's a good thing. We all know that rehab will be making up for that in a few more weeks. He is a trooper and still smiling.

He's KILLING me!! I just sat down to write a get well card with some silly comment about his scooter, but seeing it is MUCH much better. All the cool kids are riding those darn things, but the powder blue model I tried made my knee hurt in a way that cannot be replicated, so I bagged it. There was a waiting list for them in Columbus and when we returned it, an older woman was waiting with a tall hazard flag and sparkly children's handlebar tassels with which to decorate. I am not making this up. Mark needs the flag at the least.

my bet is that he actually didn't even need to do anything with the bees... he just wanted an outfit for a joyride (long live oxycontin or whatever he's on)

hgweible - you made us laugh! We were thinking about a bell! Hope things are going well with you - our bodies are challenges, aren't they??

Brady - We see where Liam gets all his one liners! You are right about, Dad - he is a funny one. He is so thankful for the Jamaica. He does NOT like the crutches. His big dilema is wether or not he takes it to the church today. He thinks all the kids will want rides :

Liam says
"He's pwetty tricky!" "When Papa comes to my house it will be Papa and We-um togeder chasing Nana on our scooters! We both will win."
