Update ~ Tuesday

Papa is resting at home tonight after his surgery. Everything went well. They put a block in behind his knee so he is numb for about 24 hours - or so they say. He has an 8" incision and will be home with his foot elevated for two days. Friday he thinks he needs to go into work for awhile. We will see about that. A cute nurse brought him two of his favorite treats ever ~
Cream Soda & Chocolate with Nuts.
Everyone loves this guy up there. It was fun to see them all take such good care of him.
Sweet dreams Mark~
and thank you everyone for your love and well wishes.

Just an innocent game of racket ball Saturday morning.
His Achilles tendon snapped.
Stinky deal. Surgery Tuesday afternoon.
Isn't that life? Just one thing after another.

My dad did the same thing playing raquetball years ago. No fun! Hope it gets better soon.

What a rotten deal, we are supposed to be active and this is the thanks we get?

You are in our prayers! Please phone me while you are resting and keeping your foot up. That looks like a really nasty injury.

Liam's comments- "Hey, that foot is supposed to be pink!".... "I'm sorrwy he got hurt"..."Is it dads turn to sow up papa dis time?"

-Good luck with everything! You are in our prayers and we are excited to see you

if that doesn't make dad feel better, I don't know what will. :) I hope he heals up quick! Wish I were there to make him some tapioca pudding.

Rude...just down right rude that Papa Smurf has to have another surgery. Maybe he's catching up to me now!

Bummer! Hope all goes well and he's back up soon. Personally, I would milk it for all it's worth.

Oh my goodness! Heal fast, Mark! This aging thing sure can give us a surprise or two when we least expect it.
