Vienna

Unfinished and a day out of order...but I will put this up for now.
(Prague is in the wings.)
We are headed to family land south of Vienna tomorrow and
hopefully into Hungary.  We decided not to make the 3 hour drive to Budapest.
Hopefully Shaura and Dean will be assigned there next!

Grinzing.  This has been Shaura and Dean's home for the past 3 years.
Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens.  It means beautiful Spring.

We enjoyed the grounds and we are doing a LOT if walking on this trip!

We seem to work up an appetite several times a day!  The pastry shop down from Shaura's house is really nice.  We will do our best to give them support while we are here!
We voted Mom's choice best!

Shaura made us a lovely Bavarian Dinner.
Wursts, Veggies, Spätzle (tiny dumplings) and Sauerkraut.
She is such a gracious host and great cook!!

At 9:00 Mark decided we all needed dessert.  We walked over to a little restaurant
across the way for an Austrian specialty.  Kaiser Schmarrn.  It is kind of mix of a
German Pancake/French Toast with a Caramelized Meringue on top.  There is a touch of
cinnamon with raisins and grapes.  It is served with Zwetschkenröster (Plum Compote).  Wow.  What a treat! The cute girl who served us was fun to visit with.  Sometimes you get to know so much about someone in a very short time.

Mom has been so much fun to have with us!

Mark = comic relief when needed. We can't take these museums too serious you know!
 One of the many museums.

Best Sausage in Vienna! My mom doesn't look very happy about her lunch, does she?

 Where is Cinderella?
One of the many churches we visited.  See below how they are cleaning this one?

Mozart was married here and had his funeral here.
 I have a new quest...random people  photos.
On a  church ceiling as you entered the building, Peter stepping out towards Christ.
More about this place...'Austria's BEST ice cream, according to Dean.
And the guy is almost always right!

Vienna is almost overwhelming with amazing views at every turn of the head.
